Kipps: The Story of a Simple Soul = Киппс: история простой души: на англ.яз
Kirjeldus
Herbert George Wells (1866 — 1946) was an English writer. He was prolific in many genres, writing dozens of novels, short stories, and works of social commentary, but he is now best remembered for his science fiction novels. "Kipps: The Story of a Simple Soul" is a satirical social novel about a young man, Artie Kipps. Orphaned at an early age, raised by his aunt and uncle, and apprenticed for seven years to a draper, he is stunned to discover upon reading a newspaper advertisement that he is the grandson of a wealthy gentleman — and the inheritor of his fortune.
